We are a family from Asturias, in the north of Spain, currently enjoying a road trip through the United States. We stopped in this lovely Southern town for lunch and had such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. What surprised us most was discovering collard greens and cornbread! These are very similar to foods that we have been eating in Asturias for many, many years. It was such a lovely and unexpected connection with home. Thank you so much for being so kind to us and for making our visit so special. We will remember it with great affection!

Impeccable service! I am visiting for work and this restaurant came highly recommended. I understand why. I absolutely love the southern Hospitality, and how organized this restaurant is when ordering. I was greeted with smiling and happy faces and this mattered because i wasnt from here and an atmosphere can determine how well i enjoy the very thing i came for. FOOD: delicious and hot and fresh. The food is well seasoned and well portioned. SERVICE: i didnt meet 1 rude person, hearing them laughing together and staff waiting to assist when seated just impressed me so much. Menu options were so amazing! I was like a kid in a candy store. My meal was well priced and the service added to my reasons to come back when traveling here or passing by. I will definitely be back! I ordered the beef tips and rice Black eyed peas, mac and cheese, green beans and potato salad and it came with cornbread.

If you enjoy a home cooked meal in a diner style setting you’d love this place. Good luck making a decision on what to order though! Everything looked delicious. You order and receive your meal cafeteria style but once seated they have wonderful wait staff who will keep your drinks refilled and table cleared. Plenty of parking behind the building.

Got here 30 mins before they closed counter service. Clean and pleasant. Waitress is very attentive. On the plate today: fried chicken, greens, mac n cheese. All very tastey. (OH I forgot the sweet potato pie ;-)

Very friendly staff and some really great Southern food. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving good comfort food.
